Hardik Pandya smashes Chris Jordan for two consecutive sixes

Thanks to the proactive approach of skipper Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav, India managed to recover from a top-order wobble in the T20 World Cup semi-final versus England. Shivam Dubey was held back and Ravindra Jadeja promoted in his place as India lost the well-set right-handers in quick succession. Hardik Pandya is taking the innings forward, having slammed Chris Jordan for a flat six on either side of the ground.

Earlier, persistent rain delayed the toss in Guyana with the outfield being wet. The pitch was bound to play tacky due to the rain, and the lack of bounce was evident in Kohli’s dismissal. This was his fifth single-digit score in T20 World Cup 2024 out of seven innings. He has so far managed only 75 runs at a strike rate of 100.

South Africa will compete with the winner of this match at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados, on 29th June.
