Natalie Sciver barged into the record books in the opening T20I of India’s tour of England, carving the fastest T20I fifty by an England batter in Women’s T20Is to facilitate the home team’s 18-run victory (DLS method) in Northampton. On a pitch that possessed a few demons in it, England’s vice-captain operated in a different league. With an air of authority, Sciver put India under the cosh even though wickets fell around her at regular intervals.
Happy birthday to our vice-captain @natsciver! 🎂 pic.twitter.com/17HmxpLux6
