Eve Jones has been superb in this year’s inaugural women’s Hundred, and continued to impress for the Birmingham Phoenix on Tuesday against the Northern Superchargers. The left-handed opener hit 64 off 47, a classy knock including six 4s and three 6s, to help the Phoenix to a total of 147 off their 100 deliveries. Languishing in sixth place in the table but with a game in hand, the Edgbaston-based side desperately needed the win, and they will have Jones to thank should they go further in the tournament.
