Ravindra Jadeja has found an able ally in Ishant Sharma as he shepherds the tail yet again after India lost wickets in a cluster in the opening session on day two. Fortune is favouring the tall tail-ender, though, as Jos Buttler’s goalkeeper dive couldn’t account for a strangle down the leg while Haseeb Hameed missed the bull’s eye as Ishant went meandering in search of a non-existent single. Ishant finally ran out of luck when James Anderson rapped him on the knee roll, but he did play an exemplary second fiddle to Jadeja in his 29-ball stay.
