Sir Alastair Cook has looked in wonderful form for the majority of Essex’s Royal London One Day Cup journey to the quarter-finals, and that rhythm was on full display as he hit 110 against Lancashire on Thursday.
The match itself was an extraordinary contest. A win for Lancs would have seen them through to the quarters ahead of Gloucestershire, but the away side smashed 21 off their final over, thanks to three sixes in a row from Simon Harmer, to tie the game and eliminate Lancashire from the competition.
A fine 💯 for @EssexCricket‘s Sir Alastair Cook 🙌
