Watch Ruturaj Gaikwad pierce the off-side ring with gusto

India’s tour of Zimbabwe began on an interesting note with the hosts clinching the T20I series opener but it ended in familiar fashion as the second-string squad led by Shubman Gill performed to their potential.

Though they lost four games in a row in the series after taking the cricketing world by storm in the first T20I, Zimbabwe can draw heart from the fight they put up against an absolute powerhouse of the sport.

Standing out among the Chevrons was the pace trio of Blessing Muzarabani, Tendai Chatara and Richard Ngrava. Muzarabani finished as Zimbabwe’s leading wicket-taker, utilizing his height and pace to good advantage as he sparkled in the final T20I on Sunday, signing off with figures of 2/19 from four overs.

Riyan Parag told in a post-match chat that “everyone woke up” after being at the receiving end of an upset in the opening game of the five-match series and India were nothing short of clinical in the remaining clashes.
