Rocky, son of Andrew Flintoff, scores maiden century for Lancashire’s 2nd XI

The 16-year-old son of former star England allrounder Andrew, Rocky Flintoff has scored his maiden century for Lancashire’s 2nd XI, accomplishing the milestone against Warwickshire at Edgbaston after a 39-run alliance with his elder brother Corey.

Flintoff made his second-team bow earlier this month, a couple of days after his 16th birthday, but scored an unbeaten 50 against Durham at Emirates Old Trafford last week, and went on to to attain a 151-ball hundred on Tuesday against a Warwickshire attack which included former England Lions spinner Jake Lintott.

Batting at No. 5, Flintoff took the attack to Che Simmons to get his innings off the way. He also hit a few leg-side sixes, the first having shades of his father’s machoistic pull shot and the second an effortless pick-up shot over midwicket.
