Dawid Malan hacks a length delivery from Kyle Jamieson to fetch six

Malan swivels.

Dawid Malan’s audition for the World Cup squad is going extremely well. The stylish southpaw who is vying for a berth at top of the order in the marquee event has compiled his third fifty in a row and sixth overall in the ODI format.

Sunny blue skies above Lord’s welcomed England and New Zealand in the fourth ODI. Matt Henry and Tim Southee are sharing the new ball and Dawid Malan is up and running with an effortless cover drive. He transferred his weight into the good-length ball from Southee to pierce the gap between backward point and cover point. The hand-eye coordination was the hallmark of the sublime shot. Malan has been in fine form in the series so far and New Zealand must be growing desperate for his dismissal as he brings up the third half-century on the trot.
