Dewald Brevis dazzled with an unbeaten 41-ball 70 to help MI Cape Town’s campaign get off to a winning start in the opener of the inaugural SA20 against Paarl Royals. Having restricted Royals to a modest 142/7 despite the half-century from Jos Buttler and captain David Miller’s 42, Brevis bossed the chase with a thundering start and a forged a 90-run opening stand with Ryan Rickelton to script an eight-wicket win, while securing a bonus point in the process.
