In the first hour of play in the second session of the Karachi Test, there weren’t too many wicket-taking or run-scoring opportunities on offer as Babar Azam and Saud Shakeel exhibited patience in their 45-run alliance for the fourth wicket before the latter was set up and prised out by young Rehan Ahmed’s legbreak, which took the inside edge of his bat and lobbed in front of the short leg fielder. The teenage debutant went on to pick the wicket of Faheem Ashraf as well.
