England have been rocked early in the opening ODI at The Oval. A guide past backward point earned Jonny Bairstow his first four, in the opening over off Mohammed Shami, but Jasprit Bumrah bowls a double-wicket maiden to take the mickey out of the hosts. Jason Roy departs first, going after a slightly wide delivery outside off and dragging it onto the stumps. Joe Root then feels for a delivery outside off and tries to take the bat off at the last moment but the extra bounce means he can only feather it through to the wicketkeeper.
