Stuart Broad and James Anderson are in line to feature in the second Ashes Test in Adelaide, according to Chris Silverwood, England’s head coach. Anderson was left out of the Gabba Test to manage his workload ahead of the pink-ball Test in Adelaide, while England decided to give Jack Leach a go over Broad, with Joe Root citing the need for a varied attack. England lost the first Test by nine wickets to concede a 0-1 lead in the five-match series. Adding insult to injury, the visitors were even penalised with five points off the World Test Championship apart from being docked 100% of their match fee for maintaining a slow over-rate.
